Darkly Dreaming Dexter Pt. 2
The environment in the book isn't described in such detail. Often it'n not more then one or two sentences. But you always have a pretty good picture of the places where the characters are. The story takes place in Miami so it's easy imagine how it looks. Maybe it is because i have watched the TV-series, but Miami looks like it does in it as it does in other movies like Scarface.
One particular description in the book is when they are at a crime scene. Dexter think it's look like a staged scene, as if it was a section of Disney Land. The book describes how clean everything looks in Miami when there´s a sun shining bright and how the dead body looks so misplaced on the white concrete ground. So when it's necessary with more details about the enivronment, there's more description. Otherwise it's rather poor.

Darkly Dreaming Dexter
The main character in my book is named Dexter Morgan. He works as a police in Miami, where he also lives. A part from being a police he is also a cold blooded murderer. But he doesn't just kill random people, he choses those who "deserves" it. Those who have done bad things. So he is the "good" kind of murderer.
It's a little hard describing his personality as it's presented in the book because i have watched the TV-series based on it. You always have those episodes in your back mind while reading. And so I can't really get a first impression because of that. But it seems pretty much the same.
Dexter Morgan is a mentally disturbed police of can only be his truly self when he's alone with his victims. He seems like a very self confident guy who knows what he's doing. He never seems afraid of getting exposed, even though he sometimes investigates his own crime scenes. He knows exactly what to do all the time even when things doesn't goes as planned.
